H H Richardson Sever Hall at Harvard
This is Sever Hall at Harvard University designed by one of the pre-eminent architects in American history, Henry Hobson Richardson. The building is in many architectural history books, and is typically part of architectural school history classes. The building also exemplifies a period when architectural brick-work was taken to an art form. This facade faces the street, while the opposite facade faces the inner yard. In this way, the building has two fronts.
